La collezione primavera/estate 2014 di Peter Copping per Nina Ricci è stato per me un amore a prima vista.

Descritta da lui stesso come “il maschile che incontra il femminile”, io l’ho trovata estremamente elegante, seducente e misurata allo stesso tempo.

Ispirata appunto all’uomo del diciottesimo secolo e alle fogge romantiche dell’epoca, la sfilata ci offre infiniti spunti di stile.

I colori sono perlopiù “nude”, cremosi e delicati, scaldati da riflessi o dettagli oro.

Tessuti diversi si sovrappongono creando contrasti molto piacevoli: cappottini lisci e trasparenze, pizzi e sete,  lamè e opacità si alternano in uno stupendo gioco di linearità e frivolezza.

The  Peter Copping’s SS2014 collection for Nina Ricci was for me a love at first sight.

Described by himself as “the masculine meets feminine,” I found it extremely elegant, seductive and measured at the same time.

Inspired precisely to the man of the eighteenth century and to the romantic shapes of that time, the collection offers us endless style inspirations.

The colors are mostly “nude”, creamy and smooth, warmed by gold reflections or details.

Different tissues overlap, creating very pleasant contrasts: smooth coats and transparencies, lace and silk, lame and opacity are alternate in a wonderful game of linearity and frivolity.
